Job Purpose
Assist the Chef/Assistant Chef in the preparation of nutritious meals on a daily basis. Maintain a hygienic safe and pleasant environment for residents and staff.
Responsible For
Assist the Chef/Assistant Chef in the preparation of nutritious meals to enable the residents to enjoy the dining experience in the Home
Assist with the preparation of tea trolleys.
Liaise with all staff to ensure the individual resident’s needs are met on a daily basis.
Maintain a hygienic environment in the kitchen at all times including:
Regularly cleaning of all cupboards, shelves, fridges, kitchen equipment, cookers and work surfaces.
Load and unload the dishwasher, ensuring the dishwasher is kept clean.
Wash up equipment unsuitable for dishwasher
Empty kitchen rubbish and keep bin clean
Attend all Health & Safety and COSSH training updates as required to ensure safe practices are adhered to at all times.
Adhere to Health & Safety and Fire Safety requirements and regulations.
